Best Vacuum Cleaners 2021
Upright vacuum cleaner – this is a good choice if you have a larger home and particularly if you have carpets. They're generally better for getting hair and fluff out of carpets and are easy to move around. They can be harder to use on stairs, in tight spaces and under low furniture and are often noisier than cylinder models.
Cylinder vacuum cleaner – a cheaper alternative to the upright vac, a cylinder vacuum is dragged along and attached to it is a flexible hose. Cylinder vacuums tend to be more compact, and better for getting under low furniture and into small spaces. Usually they are harder to use on thick carpets and have a tendency to bump into walls and furniture as you pull them along.
Cordless vacuum cleaner – becoming a popular addition to many homes, they are lightweight and convenient to use but may not be as powerful as a plug-in vacuum. The amount of time you can use for can be restricted by battery power.
Robot Vacuum Cleaner – while you sit back and relax with a cup of coffee, a robot cleaner can whizz around your home, picking up dust, crumbs and pet hairs. The slim design means they easily glide under furniture, but they do not offer as much cleaning power as a traditional vacuum cleaner.
