With many of us now working from home and also with our children home schooling for the foreseeable future, we are having to create our own home office or classroom, one thing that will be getting a lot more useage than usual will be you printer. The question is what's the best home printer to keep you and your family productive? Is it one that’s able to both and copy, scan, fax or would you prefer a fast home printer, able to complete the job before you’ve pulled your finger off the print button?
Maybe the best printer for your needs is one that connect to whatever devices you own enabling you to print from any device. If you're going to spend hundreds of pounds on a new printer, it should do be able to perform multiple tasks, do them well, and meet your needs.
One consideration to make when buying a new printer is how much it will cost to replace the ink cartridges. A new printer usually comes complete with cartridges, but they probably won't last very long. Replacement cartridges may be expensive, inexpensive printers usually come with higher priced cartridges so its always a good idea to check this out before you purchase.
Some printers will give you advance warning by having a TONER LOW or INK LOW light flash, while with others you'll just notice the quality of the print starts to look faded. In either case, it's time to get a new cartridge. Although the basic process is the same for all impact printers, some of the details differ slightly from printer to printer. Always check your printer's user manual for exact instructions regarding how to replace your ink cartridge.
The ink cartridge's number will be printed within your printer's manual. Look for the number next to the wording Cartridge number or Cartridge type.
